Season 6 first details

The first teaser trailer was shown at the New York Comic Con, along with a virtual panel that spilled some details on Season 6:

Trailer (some action-filled and epileptic 45 seconds — prepare to freeze-frame!):

Synopsis (straight off Season 5) [Amazon press release]:

The sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.

  1. OMG! Peaches on the Roci wearing a Roci jumpsuit! I’m so happy!

Weird that they are using “Strange Dogs”, wonder how that will work out.

Thanks for the update and pics!

    1. It does look like Clarissa will be the new pilot, right? There’s no Bull at all in the trailer.
“Strange Dogs”: they’ve included one novella per season so this is no different. I haven’t read the books but if they are doing it, they are really setting up book 7 and beyond, so they must have some plan for whatever happens next.

      1. Interesting thought, in the books she’s not really pilot qualified, but you could make the case for her having picked some up being Julie adjunct.

Glad that Bull doesn’t appear to be onboard, he wasn’t a good fit for the Roci crew.

      2. In the season 3 flashbacks with Jules-Pierre, Clarissa said she wanted to take over Julie as the pilot of the Razorback, so there is some sort of precedent I guess.
Bull: they could have made a character arc for him that makes him work on his racism — if there was more time.
